---# Delete your Timebank Global account

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app, or send us a deletion request if you cannot access it.

## App and data controller

Timebank Global is operated by hOUR Timebank Company Limited by Guarantee, registered business name Timebank Ireland, charity number RCN 20162023, at 21 Páirc Goodman, Skibbereen, Co. Cork, P81 AK26, Ireland.

This page applies to the Timebank Global Android app, package ie.project.nexus.

## Delete your account in the app

1. Open Timebank Global and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Choose Account, then Delete account.
4. Read the consequences, type DELETE, and enter your current password.
5. Choose Delete my account. The account is deactivated, credentials are revoked, and personal data erasure begins immediately.

## Request deletion without the app

Use our public contact form and provide the email address used for your Timebank Global account. Select Account deletion. We will verify that the account belongs to you before carrying out the request.

We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless the law permits or requires a longer period.

## Data that is deleted or anonymised

- Your name, email address, phone number, profile, location, biography, interests, and profile image.
- Your password, passkeys, two-factor authentication secrets, sessions, refresh tokens, and registered devices.
- Your active listings, notifications, consent records, AI chat history, and personal preferences.
- Files and media you uploaded, including message attachments and voice recordings, unless a failed storage deletion requires restricted administrator follow-up.
- The content of messages you authored is scrubbed; the other participant keeps an anonymised conversation record.
- Your profile and listings are removed from search indexes and external federation partners are told to retract the profile.

## Data that may be retained

- Anonymised time-credit, exchange, donation, and organisation accounting records may be retained for up to seven years where needed for audit, charity, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.
- Shared records needed by another member, such as an exchange or conversation history, may remain with your identity and authored personal content removed.
- Safeguarding, dispute, or legal-hold records are retained only where required by law or necessary to protect people, with access restricted and deletion reviewed when the obligation ends.
